The Fletcher Forum sat down with Dr. Sadiq Syed, Deputy Regional Program Director of UN Women Southern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands. Dr Sadiq Syed is a human rights professional specializing in women’s rights and served extensively in conflict, post-conflict and developing countries. Dr Sadiq holds LL.M from University of Delhi and PhD in Women’s Rights Law from Tamilnadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. He is currently serving as a Deputy Regional Program Director with the UN WOMEN Regional Office for Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
